Moving Agreements to a different Organisation

Existing agreements can't be cloned or copied into a new Organisation, unless done so manually. This article includes some tips to make this process easier!

To copy an Agreement from one Organisation to another:

  1. Open Nomos One in two web browsers (one web browser can be a normal browser, the other has to be in incognito mode, otherwise Nomos One will automatically log you out of the original one).

For more on how to open an incognito browser read the following on Google's Support hub.

You'll know when you've successfully opened an Incognito browser because one browser will have a light search bar and the other will be dark with the word Incognito in the top right corner, as pictured below:

Once you have both browser windows open:

  1. In one browser, go to the Organisation you want to move the Agreement from and navigate to the Agreement you would like to move. On the Agreement Overview of that Agreement, click Action > Repair Data to view the agreement data entered at its commencement state.

  1. In your second browser, in your new Organisation, from the dashboard click Add New... > New Agreement
  1. You'll need to copy the data from the original Agreement in the first web browser to the new Agreement in the second incognito browser for each page of the Agreement Wizard (Settings, Parties, Property, Rent & Payments, Events, Documents, Other).

You can copy text fields by highlighting the data with your mouse then holding down CTRL and pressing C, and then navigating to the second web browser, clicking on the relevant field, then holding down CTRL and pressing V.

For click fields, you'll need to actively click the correct option that matches the information entered on the existing Agreement.

  1. Once you've copied all data from the data entry wizard, click Finish on the Other page of both Agreements to save.
  1. You'll then need to Activate the new Agreement and Complete any Events on the Agreement Timeline to match what had been actioned on the existing Agreement’s Timeline.
  1. Make sure to add in your Initial IFRS 16 assumptions on your new Agreement, and any subsequent measurements using the Settings Change Questionnaire on the completed Events if applicable.

Once you've finished moving your Agreement over to a new Organisation, you can delete the original version in the old Organisation if you wish. Please note however that deleting Agreements from an Organisation is permanent and irreversible.
