In Nomos One you can build out Property Hierarchies to represent the structure of how your property is arranged. You can create land structures and represent that there's a building on it, and then within that building break it down and display different floors and areas within. You can also use this feature to represent Land with areas that are subsequently leased or show a connection between leased land and an easement area.
How to Create a Property Hierarchy
To create a Property Hierarchy:
- Create the parent structure e.g. the Land
- Either create the new child Property, or open an existing Property you want to designate as the child
- Link the child property to the parent by using the drop-down Parent list and selecting the property you would like to make this property a child of
- Click Save
You can repeat these steps to build out complex property hierarchies with multiple children and grandchildren properties.
How to Remove a Property Hierarchy
If at some point, you need to remove a Property structure from your Property Hierarchy, you can do this by:
- Editing the child property you want to remove from the hierarchy
- Clicking into the Parent drop-down menu and selecting No Parent Property
- Clicking Save to update this property record
